Quincy Natural Foods Co-op

Quincy Natural Foods Cooperative is a full service community-owned business offering organic, natural whole foods and products. Because WE OWN IT, our products reflect the needs and desires of our shoppers. We focus on products that are organically produced, made from natural ingredients (not synthetic or highly processed), and without additives or unnecessary ingredients. We actively promote locally produced foods and goods.

We have Plumas County's largest selection of organically grown produce and a commitment to purchasing locally and regionally from small family farms. We offer an excellent variety of natural vitamins, herbs and supplements, a complete seclection of natural health and body care products and approximately 350 varieties of bulk foods, herbs and spices. The Co-op also carries naturally raised poultry and meats free from antibiotics, growth hormones and other chemicals, including local beef and lamb, as well as sustainably harvested sea foods. We have handmade artisan breads, baked goods and deli foods made fresh on site by American Valley Baking. You'll also find Fair Trade gifts, coffee, tea, and chocolate and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We show support for local growers and businesses by hosting our annual summer Quincy Certified Farmers' Market and other community education events.

Quincy Natural Foods Cooperative is open to the public and anyone can shop, but you may find you'd like to invest in the Co-op and become a member-owner. Being a member of the Co-op means that you are an owner of the Co-op. As a member-owner, each adult individual invests in the Co-op. Your share dollars (your investments) provide the Co-op with working capital, which every business needs to operate, to upgrade equipment, maintain the facilities, and for capital improvement projects.

By becoming a member-owner, you're showing your support for community-based business, sustainable agriculture, and consumer cooperation. Our membership and role in the community continues to grow as more and more people become aware of the importance of social, economic and environmental sustainabiliity. We welcome new members to join us.
